Hunger No Mór is the charitable mission of our pipe band, rooted in Irish history and lived out through action in our local community.
Founded by Ancient Order of Hibernians Wake County Division 1, our band was formed with a clear understanding of our past—and a responsibility to respond to hunger in the present.
Honoring An Gorta Mór
The Great Hunger—An Gorta Mór—left an indelible mark on history. Millions suffered, emigrated, or died as famine and poverty devastated communities.
For us, remembrance is not passive.
Through Irish music and public performance, we honor those who endured the Great Hunger by committing ourselves to the belief that no one should face hunger alone today.
From Memory to Action
Hunger No Mór is not symbolic—it is active.
